Typhoon (TY) 02w (Yutu), located approximately 195 nm east-northeast of Iwo Jima, has tracked east-northeastward at 20 knots over the past six hours. Current intensity remains on the low side of dvorak estimates ranging from 65 to 90 knots based on a rapidly weakening system. Animated multispectral satellite imagery and a 212235z ssmis image depict rapidly eroding deep convection over the past 06 hours with frontal characteristics becoming more evident and the majority of deep convection located over the northern semicircle. TY 02w has continued to undergo extratropical transition (et) and is forecast to complete et near tau 12 as it tracks under cooler SST and increas- ingly strong vertical wind shear. The majority of the models indicate that TY 02w will re-intensify and track northeastward as a strong extratropical low. This is the final warning on this system by the closely monitored for signs of regeneration. Maximum significant wave height at 220000z is 25 feet.// Nnnn
